Privacy Policy

Cloud Notes is a local-first notepad. The free Chrome extension makes zero network calls - your notes live in your browser's IndexedDB and never leave your device. You only share data with us if you sign in to enable cloud sync (Pro).

We collect the minimum needed to run the service you opt into.

If you only use the free extension: nothing. No account, no analytics, no telemetry, no network requests.

If you sign in: your email address, via Supabase Auth (Google OAuth).

If you subscribe to Pro: your note content, search text, timestamps, size, and subscription state. Payment details go directly to Dodo Payments and never touch our servers.

Supabase holds your profile, notes, and subscription state with Row-Level Security and encryption at rest.

Dodo Payments holds billing and payment information under their own privacy policy.

Your browser holds a local IndexedDB copy so the extension keeps working offline.

Sync your notes across devices, run full-text search over your own notes, process Pro billing, and reply to support requests.

We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use note content to train machine-learning models.

Delete your account from the account page to remove auth, profile, notes, and subscription rows.

Email us for access or correction requests the account page does not cover.

Deleted synced notes keep a tombstone row for device sync and are hard-deleted after 30 days. Account deletion removes everything immediately.

The website sets a Supabase authentication cookie when you sign in. There are no advertising cookies or tracking pixels.

Cloud Notes is not directed at anyone under 13. If you believe a child created an account, email us and we will remove it.

If we make a material change, we will update the date above and notify signed-in users by email for significant changes.
